creative inspirations/ Kutiman mixes YouTube

by Rodney Quarcoo

thanks to twitter @teppo I happened upon @mikkokiviniemi’s tweet on Kutiman’s YouTube mashups & i must say it is absolutely amazing!

Kutiman selected a number of videos from various YouTube users & chopped & arranged them into music!  fun to watch & fun to listen to!

i hope he got in touch with the owners of the videos, not for permissions, but just to tell them to check out his work cos i know some of them will be thrilled with the results!  for instance in “This Is What It Became” & “I’m New” he used a couple girls & freestyles & if i was one of them i’ll be chuffed to hear my vocals laced to them funky beats!

video mashups are nothing new, but Kutiman’s YouTube jacking is pretty awesome!

the internet can get very mundane with facebook & email, so this is a refreshing find!  more importantly it makes me want to further develop my multimedia interests!  all in all good things!

please, do check it out.

PS> it’s all in flash, so if you’re on some dodgy intraweb connection, erm sorry?  :-S
oh & Happy Birthday Ghana!! 52 & growing!

Clichés: Let The Blogging Beginning

2009 March 4
by Rodney Quarcoo

Cliché: Better Late Than Never!

I’ve had this blog up for a while now, I just pray no one has actually been here to see inactivity & wonder what’s happening!  I’ve been meaning to start blogging, but everything seemed to get in the way!  Oh well, “nothing like the present”

Cliché: So Far So Good…

2009 has started off rather well.  Don’t get me wrong there have been some mad-stressful setbacks, but “the devil is a liar!”, God’s son shall prevail!  Anyway the year started off well, family & friends in good health, new president for Ghana, loadsa plans & ideas in terms of photography for the year ahead, so all in all, definitely good things to come.

Cliché: It Does What It Says On the Tin

From here on out, hopefully this’ll grow to be an interactive hub for you & I to keep in touch & for you to see some of the things I get up to @ work & play!  Free your mind, please comment on anything you think to & do not censor your thoughts, I’m thick skinned & I need the comments, criticism & all to hone my craft for your enjoyment!

Cliché: Grab the Bull By Its Horns

You have to do for self & expect no hand outs, so if you have been procrastinating like I have been for a while now, wake up, dust yourself off & do you!

In the words of Outkast, “You need to get up, get out & get something…”

All the best in 2009.

God bless!

who wants to be a millionaire? me!

2008 June 1

i saw, about a week ago, that who wants to be a millionaire is coming soon to a Ghanaian tv screen near me and the producers are looking for a host.

why not?! i thought?

even though i would rather win money via being a contestant i thought this will be an awesome opportunity.

so i’ve thought up stuff and i put together an audition tape.

closing date for submissions was yesterday, the 31st.

stay tuned!

it’ll have random stuff on it.

hopefully stuff that’ll interest you as much as it would me.

stuff = anything noteworthy in my life.

stuff = anything my warped brain finds interesting.

stuff = any & everything.
